ICE spoiled the part for ROD as they had the bigger afternoon against their rivals. This was ROD's really first big important day of the season since they are on the road for the first time this season down in Atlanta. ROD used Carrie Underwood's hit talker The Midday Show to try and sell those remaining 880 tickets that they need to sellout by the 6 o'clock hour tonight. The show itself drew 24 million viewers against a juiced up edition of The Noon Show which featured the #2 actor in NITRO last season Tracy Kimmell along with Lori Peete and Santana Shields performing. Arielle Kebbel's talker drew in a series-high 28.24 million viewers against The Midday Show. This is the first time both shows drew in around 50 million viewers in the same slot together. Arielle gets a chance to tease Carrie today.
Earlier in the day we had another series-high from Sarah & Jesse AM drew almost 17 million viewers thanks to Paris Jackson talking to Jesse Williams and Sarah Drew about her huge acting debut tomorrow on the Youth of Life. Also the reruns on ICE and ROD drew very strong ratings. Another series-high came from Youthful Daydreamers which has become by the far the biggest daytime soap this season so far no doubt about it and with the character Beverly attempting to rape JJ during November Sweeps expect to see some more series highs there.
For SBC they had a nice outing from Welcome to SBC where they introduced their new acquisitions officially and Chicago Police notched a series-high as well but the rest of the daytime schedule was unwatchable. TEN also is trying to grab some of those viewers from the other networks but having a hard time right now as nothing drew more than 5 million viewers.

Philips Arena in Atlanta, GeorgiaPhilips Arena Atlanta, GeorgiaATLANTA, GA - It was announced a little after 6:15pm that ROD had failed to sellout their first road show of the season as they were 330 tickets short of selling out. Before the day started they were at 880 tickets needing to be sold and they were able to sell 550 tickets since then. Obviously this is a huge disappointment for the studio especially since ICE has sold out every venue they've been to so far this season. This is also one of the key markets that they're trying to takeover because of the country base of the south. ICE already has a high demand for tickets for their events in Atlanta this coming February which will be a 3-day stay for a whole weekend that includes a visit to the Georgia Dome that will host The Carpenters Hour. The attendance number that they will have for this taping will be 21,554 people out of a capacity of 21,884 so ROD didn't have to sell any standing room only tickets which is a bad thing but ROD did sell enough tickets to make the place look full or sold out on TV as they were near capacity. A bad number would've been anything under 16,000 seats sold because then you can see a lot of empty seats on television. There's a chance for ROD to comeback to Atlanta later this season and get this building sold out. The upside for ROD is that they can still makeup for it through the ratings tonight and see if they come in first place overall. ROD is expected to be in the same predicament next week as they still have 2,200 to sell in Jacksonville, Florida which is supposed to be a homecoming for Ashley Greene and Sara Sampaio.
