Former Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning returns to his old haunting grounds at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis, Indiana for the first time to face his succeeder Andrew Luck. (Sunday Night Football) (SBC Sports) This is the 46th night of the 2013-14 Television season on Sunday October 20, 2013.National Division - Major league broadcasting networks that are capable of currently reaching 73% of the world with working television sets. That percentage is expected to grow throughout the season as NITRO gets established in 20 more countries. These networks were apart of the original 8 networks back in the summer of 2009. These networks include ICE, SBC, and ROD. Federal Division - Netlet or minor league broadcasting networks that are only capable of currently reaching 51% of the world with working television sets. This division is home to most of the new networks and second networks of the National Division studios such as Pink (ICE) and TSN (SBC) and these networks are in their first year NITRO in the 2013-14 television season. These networks include PINK, TSN, and Uniworks. TEN might end up in this division but I have to realign the divisions by Monday and we'll know for sure by then. Olivia Holt (SBC Bad Girls), Friends Forever (SBC Universal Television Distribution)FIRST PLACE FINISHES 2013-14 SEASON1. ICE (5) 2. ROD (1) 3. SBC (1) 4. PDN (0) (6 in Federal) 5. TEN (0) (1 in Federal) 6. TSN (0) On the final Sunday before November Sweeps starts on Thursday SBC had their first overall win of the season thanks to a huge performance from Sunday Night Football which was the most program of the evening getting more than 60 million viewers. Sunday Night Football was only the third non-ICE program of the week behind Sheila Carter and Country Made to score well over 60 million viewers this week. Peyton Manning's return to his old team and city Indianapolis made for must see television for casual NFL viewers on Sunday night. SNF has obviously been a ratings juggernaut for SBC all season long just like its been for ICE and ROD during Sunday afternoons and in that 7pm overrun slot but SNF has not been dominant as its received really good competition from ICE's The Carpenters Hour at times ROD this season. Sunday Night Football was able to defeat The Hour because just like last night The Hour was not live since they were down in Australia and taped this program earlier in the day in a different timezone so The Hour was down a bit but for ICE they were able to have their new hit freshman soap Overnight Nurses hold a lot of the lead-in. ROD came in third place but had a solid night with their drama night cornered by Eight Is Enough and Australia Nights. ROD also gave another boost to one of their daytime dramas to compete with Overnight Nurses in Sunset Beach which grew out of Australian Nights to almost 50 million viewers just like Ain't No Mountain High Enough did last week so this experiment is working for ROD right now. Sunset Beach was coming off its best ratings week of the season last week getting a series-high. Over in the Federal Division, PDN dominated their competition averaging 22 million viewers to top the division with a full slate of original programming. The interesting thing for PDN was that that ICE's female professional sports league Women's Football League has outrated both college football and NHL Hockey the past couple of nights on TSN. As we've stated before the creation of WFL Football is the best original concept we've seen outside of the New Girls in Town beauty pageant competition. Speaking of TSN they had a pair of solid outings from Diff'rent Strokes and Gimme a Break! who are both scheduled to receive a boost from next week's World Series coverage on the main network SBC to get some extra exposure. Joel Osmond, Eleanor Hayes, and Olivia Holt new comedy Friends Forever is off to potentially solid start but it's too early to tell if the show will hold on as we know Joel Osmond's flop comedy from earlier in the season Facebook was cancelled quickly by SBC after sliding soon after that. We will see if Friends Forever can hold close to Diff'rent Strokes and Gimme a Break! type numbers after the studio has really gone through a bad run of these teen type comedies unlike their competitor ICE who has thrived on these teen comedies. TEN took the night off again as they are preparing to add more original programming in the coming weeks and months. NITRO pulled Uniworks from their channel lineup on Sunday due to inactivity from their network leadership. Superintendent Moynahan told media reporters on Sunday night that NITRO was losing huge money by keeping Uniworks on the air as their low ratings was scaring advertisers away and they couldn't leave the network on. She also stated that it will be hard for Uniworks to get back into NITRO because they have been an on and off network for five years now and need to prove they have permanent staying power in the future and can get their ratings in a competitive state. Tomorrow night starts a new week in NITRO as there's only three days left before the start of the first sweeps period of the season. Wendy Robertson is back in action as she prepares for the Athletic Games. ROD makes some changes adding in a game show special. SBC brings back Baywatch and Jaws who hope to have SBC in second place tomorrow night and get some more points.
