FANS CAN MEET ICE'S NEW ACQUISITIONS
ICE is at home this week in Toronto before they travel overseas to a big trip in Australia this weekend and then go to the United Kingdom and Boston and next weekend. ICE is using the The Noon Show with Arielle Kebbel to publicly introduce their new acquisitions and draft picks and they will address the media after the show ends. ICE introduced their new talent to the audience in Seattle in a non-televised setting. CEO Jessica Lowndes stated that she has already cast most of their new faces into projects and announced their debut dates on television in those programs. For all of the lucky fans who attend the taping they will be able to meet the new acquisitions in-person after the media session. Fans in Australia and London in the coming week will be able to have these same privileges of meeting these new ICE faces.
ICE MAKES MAJOR MOVES TO ADD IN MORE LIVE PROGRAMMING FOR SWEEPS
CEO Jessica Lowndes has stated before that she wanted more and more live programming on the schedule and to cut back on the hours of taped dramas since ICE has gone to the next level in the ratings with live programming. Starting in the next few weeks you will see rapidly changing ICE schedule in primetime as ICE will be moving some of their dramas to PDN. The first night of the week to be fully impact by this move will be Tuesdays which has been built around their successful bad girl drama Janit O'Day since 2010. ICE has experienced more competition going against it on that night and ICE wants to raise the bar and build the night around a really hot show in New Girls in Town Pageant so ICE is moving Janit O'Day away from Tuesdays along with Pretty Thieves and will go with a complete lineup of live programming starting on Tuesday November 5, 2013. Pretty Thieves which has been a hit for the network will move over to PDN to give Fugitive at 17 some help and now that Tuesdays are open for the Janit O'Day franchise shows PDN will be airing both dramas back-to-back on Tuesdays. This move should help not only the PDN network get to the next level but help Pretty Thieves really establish its own identity away from Janit O'Day. Pretty Thieves had been in a pretty good battle against ROD's The L.A. for the last four weeks but beaten the show every week as well. PDN President Jessica Stroup stated that Pretty Thieves is likely leading off on Tuesdays at 8pm then Fugitive at 17 airing in Janit O'Day's timeslot of 9pm and then PDN will decide from there rather to simulcast the Pageant in its new timeslot of 10pm or go with new episodes of Tuesday Night Jem. This new lineup for PDN will start on October 29th. Janit O'Day will be moving to Mondays at 10pm on ICE in that open timeslot starting on November 4th. New dramas "Pippi Longstocking" and "Truck Ladies" which were both supposed had to debut around this time of year will both be held back to debut on a later date or possibly air on PDN as ICE is holding them both back because the network doesn't have any room for them right now but new mystery soap "Who Wanted Nichole Dead?" will still be debuting on October 28th and will be airing weekly on ICE starting in November on Fridays. ICE is completely changing their schedule for the second half of the season after the Winter Athletic Games are over in February so these moves are only valid for the rest of the fall.
Janit O'Day spin-off Heather will debut on Halloween on SBC.
ICE'S NEW TUESDAY NIGHT LINEUP KELLY GREEN TUESDAYS
Continuing with the last bit of news here on these big moves to the ICE lineup as we will have ourselves a new ICE lineup starting on November 5th full of live programming with New Girls in Town Pageant moving to 10pm so that it can bleed over into the 11pm hour which isn't rated due to local programming that move starts as early as this Tuesday but before that will be a brand new two-hour comedy block featuring a new comedy in Kelly Kapowski which will be apart of ICE's new rebooted Saved By the Bell franchise which includes the ROD hit The Adult Years. Kelly Kapowski actually debuts on November 5th as well and will be surrounded with some huge help as Bastard Kids will be moving away from Thursdays and will be supported by Bad Times moving from Mondays as well but it's not noted what will be taking its place as DJ Becky needs a slot as well. Molly in South Philly will be joining them as well as the anchor of that new comedy block. The night will be called Kelly Green Tuesdays named after ICE's second color and Kelly Kapowski.
Pageant host Tahj Mowry tweeted that New Girls in Town Pageant will have a live callbacks session on Saturday in Boston then on Tuesday will have a boot camp session and next Saturday will name the final contestants for this year's competition in Detroit. The big first competition beauty pageant will be on Tuesday November 5, 2013 live from Detroit's Ford Field starting at 10pm after the premiere of Kelly Kapowski at 9:30pm. All 60,000+ fans in attendance will receive free Kelly Green shirts from Nike to wear at the event so it will be a sea of green on your television.
TRACY'S 3 GIRLS IS ON THE MOVE
Tracy Kimmell is a very busy woman in NITRO right now so ICE is trying to spread her schedule around as she is the main reason why Youth of Life was relaunched this season instead of staying cancelled because she wanted it to comeback. Tracy leads the Diamond Girls rock branch Detroit's Angels on the music side, she's training for the upcoming Athletic Games, tries to find time for movies, she is in the Janit O'Day franchise dramas, Youth of Life, and her produced self-titled variety half-hour Tracy's 3 Girls. All of her television projects rate huge so ICE want to start spreading them out instead of having Tracy Kimmell work two jobs in one night. ICE went through this same problem with both Allison Shields and Bella Thorne who were in 3 television projects at the same time and made it all work. ICE wants to keep Tracy out of town earlier in the week for her drama and movie projects and back at home with ICE later in the week so Youth of Life and Tracy's 3 Girls along with Diamond Girls which airs on Saturdays and she's only on that show once or twice a month. Tracy's 3 Girls will be moving away from Saturdays to Thursdays for the rest of the fall making that Thursday Must See TV lineup even more powerful than it already was before. So Tracy will be working twice on Thursdays with Youth of Life airing at 9:30pm after Ally and Tracy's 3 Girls airing at 11pm. Saturdays are being reconstructed to fit in a two-hour installment of the New Girls in Town Pageant and ICE needs an extra hour to take and decided to breakup the successful Tracy's 3 Girls and Molly in South Philly combo. Molly in South Philly will air twice a week once on Tuesdays and again on Saturdays so it will still be airing on Saturdays. Youth of Life is airing twice as well on Thursdays and Saturdays for the rest of the fall.
All final schedules will be revealed over the next three weeks in the official schedule thread.
Danielle Harris (ICE Starlets)
ICE INTRODUCES HALLOWEEN REBOOT HOSPITALITY
ICE President Kevin Smart gets ready for November Sweeps by announcing two new special movie events that were developed and distributed in-house from Paramount Pictures. The first project is set to debut on Halloween Night during the network's Scary ICE and it is going to be a Michael Myers (Halloween franchise) reboot. ICE has recently acquired the rights to the entire Halloween franchise last week and won it away from ROD who was in contention to acquire the rights for the franchise as well but Jessica Lowndes got the win over Ashley Greene on that end. The distributors selling the rights stated that Danielle Harris was the key to getting the deal done with ICE since she understands the franchise having been in four of the movies with two of them starring when she was a child back in the late 80s for Halloween 4 & 5. Danielle Harris was brought in by ICE back in 2012 to oversee and act in some of their horror pilots. Danielle Harris has already experienced success this season as she produces "Chicago's Most Dangerous Bitch" and "Uptown Murders" which have started out with huge numbers. The network also owns the rights to the Friday the 13th franchise and has done so since 2009 when ICE first partnered with Paramount but that's the negative side for Danielle Harris as she is overseeing their "Jason" project which was supposed to debut this fall on the new sister network PINK but there has been some major problems with that project so that's what motivated ICE to start looking at the Halloween franchise to work on that.
Danielle Harris will now create the Halloween reboot TV movie named "Hospitality" which will revisit the second Halloween movie by having the setting in a hospital. Hospitality will follow the life of Michael Myers' niece who was incarcerated into a mental facility but she escapes and assumes the identity of a college student who works at a local hospital as a volunteer and starts to wreck havoc. Kevin Smart says the project will fit right into their bad girls genre lineup. The TV movie will be co-distributed by SBC's partner Universal Pictures who owns the first three movies of the Halloween franchise and of course Paramount Pictures. Depending on the ratings for the movie premiere there's a possibility that ICE will develop "Hospitality" into a TV series that will either be ready later in the season or next fall. Girl Games 2 will premiere before "Hospitality" on Thursday October 31, 2013 as the Paramount Pretty Comedies will be hiatus that week. They will start shooting the movie in Chicago this Monday as Danielle Harris says that she wanted to keep the project in Chicago so that she can focus on Dangerous Bitch tapings as well that week and won't have to travel all over the place. They will finish shooting in two weeks. Girl Games is also set in Chicago so both movies will be taped in the same time frame. Kevin Smart noted that it doesn't take very long to shoot these TV movies as it does feature films and ICE already works their other dramas on a tight schedule shooting the episodes a month or 3 weeks in advance of their airdate on the network. The script is already finished as Danielle Harris had been working with Whitney Price last year as they had been planning on this project just in case ICE won the rights to the franchise and they did and casting started this week also.
ICE executives are hoping that Hospitality will be a success like Heather.
ICE INTRODUCES BREEZIE EASY FROM DIANE LANE
Just like Danielle Harris, Diane Lane will be producing a TV movie project called "Breezie Easy" this will work as a pilot as well and a 6-part mini-series event that will air this November. ICE has planned on this project since way back in 2010 but always put it on hold because of the season lockouts. Breezie Easy was originally supposed to had fit into the fall 2010 schedule but has been delayed for 3 years ever since. Breezie Easy will be a mini-series that follows a lost teenager from Seattle who falls into prostitution and the drug game. Analeigh Tipton who was just signed by ICE will star in the season but they are still casting the role of Breezie Easy. It is not known exactly when Breezie Easy will air inside of the month of November but Thanksgiving is a real possibility. Breezie Easy will be also produced by Paramount Pictures.
