As soon as the first 25 draft picks are finalized we will then immediately start the process of draft claiming.
Each studio has at least one draft claim or more that they can use their draft claims on to steal any of these draft picks away. Here's the catch though if at least two of the three parties which includes the first party consisting of the draft picks themselves and their agents, the second party includes the general managers and CEOs of their drafted studio, and the third party includes the NITRO Officials who all have to vote at least 2-1 against the claim then that draft pick will not move. If the vote is 1-2 or 0-3 then your claim will go through and you will pick that draft pick up. It is very hard to get claims successful they only have a chance of happening 25% of the time so expect not to get your claims.
Here's the other catch though if a claim isn't successful in the voting process then that studio is responsible for choosing one of their other draft picks away to that studio so you will be losing a rookie either way it goes it's just a matter of who you lose. This is why it's important to stock up as many draft picks as possible so you can keep the ones you really want.
It might be a smart idea if the studio chooses someone that you don't want to not vote in favor of keeping that draft pick that way you don't have to give away one of the other draft picks that you really want to keep so some votes will be 3-0 we expect a lot of them to be 2-1 as well.
The voting process takes place live here on the site as I will post a poll for those claims and I have talked to my buddy D. Stiles to represent his vote as the draft pick & the agent, I will represent the NITRO Officials, and your vote is your studio's executives. Once the vote is finished then the process is over and we'll know who is subbed in. The studio must submit a draft pick that they plan of trading with. I will explain more of this in the upcoming YT video that should be out this week.
Below shows how many draft claims each studio has and which studios they can claim against through past trades. TEN will get one against any studio of their choosing since they are a new studio. Right now ICE and ROD are the scariest studios in this situation because they have three claims they can use. You can also save your claims for future use so you don't have to use them all in this draft. These claims do expire before the 2015-16 season so you have at least two years to use them at these two drafts here in 2013 (current) and 2014 (August).
