Britney Powell (ICE Starlets), Teen Fighter (ICE's Wide World of Sports)ICE's coverage of their teen boxing coverage sets a new Saturday daytime record of 30.70 million viewers which makes it the first program ever on a Saturday afternoon to grab more than 30 million viewers topping the 29 million who watched Kay Shields' first television practice run of the season two weeks ago. The more and more Britney Powell fights and stays undefeated the more and more she becomes must see television and even repeats of her first two fights of the season earlier in the morning topped original programming on SBC and ROD. An analyst stated that Britney Powell is taking the same path that Maxie Justice had when she started fighting back in 2009 but she is also traveling down the same road that boxing legends like Muhammad Ali and Mike Tyson are taking as well. ICE Sports Coordinator and President Steve Walters stated that we have strong drawing Starlets who happen to be great athletes and it's helping our brand of sports coverage for ICE's Wide World of Sports. We also learned on Saturday that this coverage of sports was way more popular than the baseball playoff action which has been scoring some disappointing ratings this year as the league continues to decline in its popularity. Also another highlight earlier in the day was the impressive rating from ICE's comedy Little Darlings which grabbed 14.52 million viewers topping all of the Saturday morning programs. ICE did state that there are plans in place to showcase some of their primetime comedies on late Saturday mornings as ICE is focused on the teen audience while SBC and ROD struggle pleasing the younger kids. Repeats of Teen Angels and Young Girls did very well also. Next week should be interesting in the talker ratings battle between SBC, ICE, and ROD as ICE have announced that they will find a new host for Weekend Treat to go against Kelly Clarkson and SBC' duo of Jenny Sense and Priscilla Martin. Melanie Iglesias has been regulated to their afternoon sports coverage according to ICE sources. ICE wants to insert someone young for the hosting duties like they have done successfully on Thursday afternoons with Amber Montana. Since they are targeting the same audience they want somebody whose a teenager with good hosting skills. Could they be waiting on G. Hannelius' decision?
