Joan Smalls will be your fifth pick of the 2013 NITRO Rookie Draft. She was scouted by ROD's Lily Aldridge in Los Angeles.

Joan Smalls was originally in DV's scouting system with Stacy London before that studio got shut down last year and then she moved over to work with Lily Aldridge and her best friend Karlie Kloss who is going to be a top 10 pick herself. Joan is also close to Miranda Kerr so these picks here coming from that Los Angeles system.

Joan Smalls is in her mid-20s which is on the older side for these draft picks so she'll be the same type of rookie that Miranda is going to be as an entertainer entering her prime.

Just like Miranda she's very mature and isn't a wild child like these other homegrown picks are so you'll get someone who can help lead a young studio like a Allison Shields or Selena Gomez. Joan can be a very option if a studio fails to get Miranda Kerr.

These rookie draft picks have already proven to be very valuable out the gate this season as Joel Osmond (1st, SBC), Sara Sampaio (2nd, ROD), and Kyla Ray (3rd, ICE) have all already had early success in this young season so they can be a huge draw to these studios that need more help in the ratings.
