Full House (1994) (ABC) (Warner Bros. Television Distribution) (SBC Universal, DreamWorks Television, 2013-present)FIRST PLACE FINISHES 2013-14 SEASON1. ICE (7) 2. ROD (2) 3. SBC (0) 4. QBC (0) 5. TSN (0) SBC FINALLY BEAT ICE IN THE NATIONAL DIVISION!SBC FINALLY BEAT ICE IN THE NATIONAL DIVISION!SBC FINALLY BEAT ICE IN THE NATIONAL DIVISION!SBC FINALLY BEAT ICE IN THE NATIONAL DIVISION!SBC FINALLY BEAT ICE IN THE NATIONAL DIVISION!After the first 9 nights of the season ICE was whooping SBC's ass in the ratings every night and it was never a close race until Friday night as SBC avoided the week 1 sweep from ICE which could've happened on Sunday if SBC didn't beat ICE on Friday. So congratulations to Courteney Cox and company for finally beating Jessica Lowndes for the first time this season. Just like the night before nostalgia took over the NITRO Television scene as Full House was front and center just like One Day at a Time from the night before. Full House gave SBC their first program to reach over 60 million viewers this season and it was the first non-ICE network to reach that plateau so SBC beat ROD to the punch although ROD won the overall night on Friday. This is the second straight Friday that ICE did not win and they came in third place for the first time this season. Fridays seem to be the night that ICE needs to work on going forward and we'll get into their lineup in a little bit. Ashley Greene's Roderick Television Network for the second Friday in a row captured a first place victory and they are the only NITRO network to actually beat ICE this season through the first nine nights of the season overall in the ratings. The strength of ROD's lineup begins with another one of those nostalgia classic reboots Eight Is Enough which has started out this season on fire. EIE was able to top their performance from the week before getting 45 million viewers. We did notice a steep drop hour-to-hour once EIE had to go against Full House since the show aired two episodes on Friday but the rating was good enough to provide good lead-in support for their other hit Friday drama Sheila Carter which is becoming a huge destination for viewers, this show could see over 50 million viewers real soon and become a powerhouse soap on Fridays. The timeslot debut of crime drama soap Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Undercover fit right in with the rest of the lineup keeping over 40 million viewers and getting a better showing from its premiere on Monday. Right now ROD's soap block looks to be more powerful than ICE's soap block. Is this a potential destination night for The L.A. for ROD? SCOTTY MCCREERY & CARRIE UNDERWOOD'S DEBUTS ARE A SUCCESS FOR THE BUCCANEER NETWORKTo cap off the night was the huge premiere of ROD's first country variety show produced by Carrie Underwood called "Country Made" featuring country artists like Scotty McCreery, Hunter Hayes, and Kacey Musgraves singing country numbers. It's supposed to be a variation of the Grand Ole Opry series down south in Nashville but NITRO style. One of the things since getting Carrie to come on as the studio's new Variety Coordinator was that Ashley Greene wanted to establish a country presence and scene in the studio and that strategy looks to have paid off in the early goings here with Country Made late on Friday night. SBC had a huge night behind the blockbuster premiere of Full House which made its comeback on the international television scene Friday night for the first time since it went off air in 1995. Unlike the other reboots we've seen this reboot actually featured the full original cast players instead recast roles so this became very nostalgic for viewers watching at home and that helped set a new all-time record for the peacock network. For the first time in 4 years SBC was able to reach 60 million viewers for an original program. SBC finally has that one major comedy they need to build a block around and the network also has another 90s classic Step By Step in development which can premiere any week now. For the rest of SBC on Friday it was actually a pretty successful night except a couple of programs. The night got off to a strong for them as Gabby & Terri Shields' new variety series is really becoming a solid player on Friday nights as it grew from last week's premiere opening up in front of the premiere of Simply Sam which became the first scripted comedy this season for the network to reach over 40 million viewers. After Full House it got a little darker as Pretty Wild bled the worst out of any show this season below 50% for its retention rate behind Full House. Kaitlyn Dever was successful with Facebook but Pretty Wild is looking dead dead now after a stronger showing this past Saturday. Michaels & Leary held up the lead-in and can probably perform better if SBC moves Step By Step in that slot soon. Selena Gomez was able to help bring the night back up in late night. Third place not usual territory for ICE but they came in third as they pulled Bradleys vs. Van Horns for a repeat of Bella Thorne's Groovy Variety Hour which actually repeated really well with 23 million viewers which almost surpassed last ngiht rating of Joey on SBC. Bradleys vs. Van Horns is supposed to move to Wednesdays starting next week and Bella Thorne's variety hour will air in that 8pm slot on Fridays for the next two weeks. Hard Choices seems to be performing pretty weak for them as their spin-off We've Got Each Other did way better for its premiere episode. Both Vancouver Models and Overnight Nurses did very well in late night. ICE might want to build this lineup around Overnight Nurses and We've Got Each Other as Overnight Nurses is starting to catch fire for them. QBC continued their struggles as their whole lineup came in DOA and really dropped from last week. The only show to not show any drops was Green Light which led off the night. Tonight with Bryan Cranston could be in some serious trouble next week if it gets beaten by either TSN or Pink next week. QBC is going to have find a program for some of these lineups that have some major league mass appeal that can compete with these other networks that are dominating them almost every night of the week. It gets more dangerous with a sixth network being in the picture next week in Pink. Most of TSN's lineup came in DOA which is not good considering that Pink is debuting on Monday so time is running out as Pink might take any viewers they had this week. They finally had some positive news outside of NITRO War Update as Sex, Lies, and Southern Belle actually beat QBC at 10pm and is coming in looking like a huge hit for them. Fridays are probably our most competitive night of the week at the top which will make this battle an interesting one. Next week will be interesting in that opening hour as we will have a 3-way variety war at 8:00 PM between Bella Thorne, Sara Sampaio, and Zendaya as this should be interesting to see who comes out on top and may dictate who gets first place next week.
