FIRST PLACE FINISHES 2013-14 SEASON 1. ICE (6) 2. ROD (1) 3. SBC (0) 4. QBC (0) 5. TSN (0)
Premiere week continues but this was the least viewed night of the week so far between all of the networks. ICE continued their dominating roll as they have now won 6 of the first 7 nights of the season and are currently on a 5-night winning streak that started back on Saturday. No network has beaten them out of first place since ROD did back on Friday with their soaps. The network is red hot right now as despite the negative drama surrounding Jessica Lowndes the network is still thriving under her leadership.
ICE rolled out a rare Wednesday night edition of The Carpenters Hour and as usual the show posted another dominating rating in front of the 2-hour premiere of Kelly's Thugs which was right on-par with the premieres of its sister shows Janit O'Day and Pretty Thieves this week hanging around 60 million viewers. In every night night that ICE has won this season they have programmed either one of their talent competition or a Janit O'Day franchise series. Talk about knowing your damn audience really well. That is the one thing that continues to separate ICE from the networks outside of star power they've always known their audiences better than other network.
Ashley Greene has gotten off to a great start this season also dominating QBC in the Federal Division but she failed during this first week to take down ICE like she promised when she was hired last summer as their new CEO. On Wednesday, Star Girl got off to a great start earning its renewal stripes for this season getting to 42 million viewers. The television adaption of Clint Eastwood's Dirty Harry held up well behind Star Girl but was probably expected to grow out of Star Girl instead of bleed. ROD actually made a late change and decided to pull Chicago Narcs which struggled in its premiere in the episode game and gave Star Girl a two-hour premiere and pushed Dirty Harry back to 10:00 so that they could work on reworking the series before premiering it in the main game.
QBC actually had a solid night as they counter-programmed the other networks with Sci-Fi type programming as Inspector Spacetime scored in their average area of 15-20 million viewers to start the night. The Wasteland and Monster Hunters premiered above that average area as both programs grew towards 25 million viewers throughout the night. QBC went with the right strategy of keeping it genre-related to keep viewers around for the night. Like we said this created counter-programming towards the other networks on Wednesday.
SBC Universal's two networks had an awful night but they took the night off on SBC to honor 9/11 but the network might've been better off moving that programming over to TSN. TSN continued to struggle as a network these first three nights as all of their game shows bombed hard. Even worse news for TSN is that it was leaked out from Phederation sources that ICE will be launching Pink on Monday night but the network is not going to have a week's worth of original programming until October 14th so the real launch is in October but Pink will now compete in the ratings with the other networks including TSN in the newly announced International Division.
Tomorrow is expected to be another one of those star-powered nights as ICE's Paramount Pretty Comedies are live tomorrow. Dance War premieres on TSN and over on the main network SBC they have the premiere of Facebook and season premiere of their biggest drama hit in 2012 Drama's Place. ROD is all-new with a 4-hour block of shows but a late change was made as ROD is cancelling Cellmates in favor of High School Dropouts as Saved By the Bell will air tomorrow night in its place. The Detention Center premieres as the network's answer to the Janit O'Day franchise over on ICE along with Agent Lily starting its second season. QBC goes with the second week of their comedies which are trying to grow and keep from bleeding against a night of really strong programming on the other networks.

One Day at a Time (1977) (CBS) (Sony Pictures Television) (Paramount Television, 2013-present)OTTAWA, ON - ICE on Thursday nights is easily becoming NITRO's Must See TV network as ICE started dominating the Thursday night landscape with their Paramount Pretty Comedies (PPC) back in 2012 and they have continued to develop their audiences to the masses. ICE made a late change deciding to double up the live taping of One Day at a Time at Paramount Hall in Toronto forcing the network to pre-empt the premieres of DJ Becky and Bad Times which going to debut later this month or in October. SBC, ROD, and QBC all have scheduled comedy blocks to go against ICE's powerhouse lineup that extends into late night but they are nowhere near close to competing with that lineup. In a developing story right now we've gotten word that the popular 70s/80s hit sitcom "One Day at a Time" reboot on ICE last night scored a record-setting 72 million viewers for its premiere pair of episodes. We have seen the reboots here in NITRO this season have a successful run as Saved By the Bell started the trend last week and we've got a ton of reboots coming throughout this season including the announcement of The OC reboot on ROD in the next couple of weeks. That record setting performance from One Day at a Time made it the most watched scripted program in the 5-year history of NITRO Television surpassing the new record set just last week by Actors which grabbed 70.11 million viewers. One Day at a Time is also now the 4th most watched program in NITRO also at the moment ranking only behind The Carpenters Hour and Diamond Girls. We'll have the full ratings report on how everything scored coming up shortly and the analysis. The dominance displayed here by ICE is shown here in the most watched program chart (October 12, 2009-September 12, 2013):

Zendaya Coleman: On 9/20/13 Bella "Lame" Thorne is going down as My Dance Variety Hour is on against that lame show. Ashley Greene (CEO): Well Anna I guess people love to watch whores and tramps like you. Don't worry though you ICE bastards think you have full control over NITRO but that shit is going to end real soon.
Sara Sampaio: Zendaya didn't you already lose to that red head slut?
