Meghan Ory, Tammy Angel (The ICE Phederation)ALLISON SHIELDS = RATINGS!That statement above has been posted in these ratings analysis ever since July 2009 when Allison Shields first proved herself to be a ratings champion and on Thursday night where she was featured on two different programs as that statement held true as she contributed to record numbers for her self-titled sitcom "Ally" and "Diamond Girls" inside of late night. Diamond Girls contributed toward the biggest rating of the night as it scored over 80 million viewers outdoing the 2-time most watched program The Carpenters Hour. So Allison Shields proved why she will likely keep her title as the top actor in all of NITRO this season. Bridget Moynahan's children were back tonight on television and the millions of viewers around the world were ready for their favorite stars to return as we got some huge turnouts on the four networks. With NITRO opening up with four networks this season expect to see bigger viewership numbers to start the season and we got just that on Thursday night. Let's finish up with ICE here as they had a huge night and got the most attraction from the NITRO audience as the most watched network is coming out the gates strong this season. New drama Teen Angels had a really strong start scoring over 50 million viewers beating out Baywatch as the most watched drama pilot in NITRO history. Later on ICE went with comedies as Bastard Kids did a really good job holding onto most of The Carpenters Hour's huge audience and Ally and Actors was able to follow suit as all of the drama in the past year for Jessica Lowndes paid off for ICE. Over at ROD they were welcoming in Ashley Greene to start the night with the orange crush campaign and that led into Super Crews which lost to The Hour but still looks strong and could be a force for them this season. Sara Sampaio made her NITRO debut with Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus in High School Dropouts as this could be a huge hit for them going forward. ROD's huge night wasn't done yet as they were just getting warmed up as the network won the ICE pilot reboot Saved By the Bell: The Adult Years grabbing over 40 million viewers against Bastard Kids. Charlie Sheen was back this time with Amber Tamblyn in Uncle Charlie & Jenny. ROD now has three comedies that could be a force this season. Aisha & Jenny capped off the night successfully but was way behind their rivals Diamond Girls in the variety girl group showdown. SBC was on the map as well on a smaller level as their veteran comedies Monica, Single at Fifty, and Joey all scored around 30 million viewers. Unlike ICE and ROD these comedies had to get their numbers without help from a huge reality competition. These three comedies have always proven to work for SBC ever since Courteney Cox got there in 2010. QBC entered NITRO formerly EBC and they were already stronger than EBC out of the gate as all 6 of their comedies scored around 20 million viewers and hung very close together. On most nights these numbers would've been around the average but since this was opening and ICE and ROD were scoring gigantic numbers they look a little mediocre but they actually aren't. This is a night start for QBC as they seem to have it figured out. We'll see with QBC does during premiere week on some of the other nights when the competition is weaker. On Friday, things will calm down some so we should see how the competition performs. Expect things to be a bit closer between the networks.

Very happy with the opening numbers. These were big competition against us and we were glad to pull that many, especially the great return of Flight Of The Conchords. Very excited to see how QBC goes as the season wears on.

Very good opening night for QBC as I remember back in the EBC days programs most programs could not compete, next week things should calm down a bit so we'll see where the numbers settle in at but these are good anything around 20 million in the main game is right on average. Depending on the situation programs below 15 million are in trouble. So I would say if they can stay in that 15-20 million range they will be healthy every week plus what's good about these numbers is that all of the shows had consistency shows didn't bleed too much from their lead-ins which is also a good sing over the numbers themselves.

I agree with you on EBC not being competitive, with the possible exception of Breaking Bacon which was our flagship show. It will be good to see what happens next week and hopefully the shows can retain a fair chunk of these viewers.

Yeah Breaking Bacon was the main show and on a stronger network it might do even better. These shows should be able to retain a good amount of their audience as that's one of the bigger benefits of not starting out too high as those bigger programs last night will drop a steep amount of viewers next week and maybe your shows will benefit and grow depending on the timeslot they're in.

As always, it is about retention that will come down to a show being worthy of renewal and i think that these shows have the quality to get reasonable audiences, but it is the retention of viewers over the weeks that will prove the biggest challenge.
