KYA SUMMERS = RATINGS!
VARIETY GENRE OFF TO A HOT START
It doesn't matter where ICE puts NITRO's resident homicidal maniac Kya Summers and her Motor City Killa Sorority sisters as she will draw viewers in droves and it showed again this week as the weekly variety series drew over 10 million viewers. In what could be a sign of things to come in the main game when it starts back we could see NITRO swinging in a huge direction towards the variety genre which is starting off super hot in the second game. WCN will look to answer Jem's hot start with their own variety series on their newest band Terror Pact.
MRA brought back Dynasty and it worked out well for them but the problem was they could've gotten Dynasty over 10 million viewers and beaten MBC for first place had they programmed Monday and Tuesday, that really hurt them missing those days of promotion. Late schedules can hurt networks really bad.
WCN's Ladder Variety Show continued the momentum swing from the variety genre, the show hasn't done too well in daytime so far but its doing a lot better in prime time.
The rest of the night featured some failures on TFN and DOS, TFN cancelled The Next Great Singer on Wednesday morning and obviously viewers heard about it and decided not to comeback but that didn't hurt the debuts of Simply Sam and Megan in College which both did very good numbers considering the lead-in. SBC has given TFN some really strong comedies so far but STARTIME was DOA. Programming theatrical movies can be hit or miss sometimes obviously The Chronicles of Narnia was a miss for DOS unfortunately after a couple of great nights to start off the week.
