SUNDAY JUNE 3, 2012The Carpenters Hour (Paramount Television)Sundays have been completely dead this year for the most part but the night seems to be slowly developing right now. The constant has been the rise and dominance of The Carpenters Hour which just started the first of four weeks leading up to their finale at the end of the month. The Hour is getting real close to Diamond Girls to be this year's most watched program. The changes made before The Hour with My Two Headstrong Daughters replacing She Looks Good this week was a really good move as the whole comedy hour saw its best numbers of the season so far and Bradleys vs. Van Horns had their season finale last night got a real good boost which should help them for the season two premiere which starts next Tuesday. Bradleys vs. Van Horns will be the first ever NITRO series to enter season two. ICE explained that the early start was so that the network could clear space for the fall and Bradleys vs. Van Horns gets enough episodes in before the fall starts. The Carpenters Hour has been keeping a number of shows from growing this year. The NBA continues to be a bright a spot for SBC as they've capped off their best week of the season this year. Tammi Brooks and Debby Ryan's variety show has been getting some major boosts in its ratings behind the NBA so we'll have to see how it does on its own after the NBA season ends this year. The New Miami Vice continues to find an audience in probably what's become the most difficult timeslot to program in. ROD has been making some smart changes lately as Star Girl at 7pm grabbed its highest numbers of the season so far for ROD. Star Girl was #2 in its timeslot as it gave ROD a chance to have a really good Sunday. Fox's Disconnected is looking a real good pickup for ROD so far and College Warriors although it bled a little bit did really well for them. Star Girl is a bubble show for ROD so its renewal can go either way at this point. TCC was fourth but their comedy lineup isn't doing stellar numbers for some of these shows to survive for the fall. DV made some hefty changes and the next needs to be cancellation of PCAU. PCAU is currently the least watched program in NITRO right now but SBC Girl Alexa Chung is really helping them out big time with her huge gains. Victoria's Secret got off to a really good start attracting 11 million viewers for the premiere which gave The Real Deal the audience it needed. Some people believe The Carpenters Hour is keeping The Real Deal from getting 20 million viewers. DV's TV movie showcase continues to do really well for them. MRA made some changes to their Sunday lineup and unfortunately they let too much time pass by to bring enough viewers back to the night. Back in March, MRA was neck and neck at the top with ICE but The Hour has blown them away. Denver did improve the timeslots but not by a lot and the MRA Sunday Night Event special focusing on the Must See TV era did a solid job for a documentary but Haven's Hope looks like its done. UNO may have wasted a night with the showcase of Water for Elephants which bombed in the ratings and it didn't help Stella and Kevin which is in a dogfight right now for a renewal and these numbers doesn't help its cause. EBC's In the Studio may make it to next season but just like a lot of shows on EBC right now Rockefeller and Figure This! are both done.

Pat Devine (CEO): The Hour is killing the competition right now, We Love Tiffany and Teenage Daughters improved a lot, and Bradleys vs. Van Horns got the sampling it needs for the 12th.
