The ICE Phederation
Phederation president/CEO Pat Devine announced that he has signed a few actors but among the biggest of those names were Denise Richards who was Charlie Sheen's ex-wife for those of you who don't know her but I don't know how you couldn't unless you've been living under a rock.
ICE announced last week the additions of two new comedies but both of those comedies were scratched and redone.
This move motivated ICE to find another veteran actress who could fill her void and they ended up getting Denise Richards who was available. Some people find this to be a bit of a downgrade on ICE's part but ICE has proven in their NITRO days of being able to insert actors who don't have a lot of value into being bigger stars than the elite Hollywood stars coming in. ICE likes the idea of using Denise Richards for a comedy in a lead role b/c she is an underdog actor with a not so good reputation in the media but they feel like they can make her bigger than Jennifer Aniston who already got her name from Friends 20 years so they don't feel like they would be doing much in building her up.
ICE at the moment is still actively working on their acting roster and still finishing up most of the casts for each show.
ICE recently cancelled two of their promising comedy projects "Jaime" and "Joe Cool" that were set to debut this Monday live in Phoenix. ICE has instead picked up on the option for the Toronto's Friends franchise next comedy from executive producers David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry. The comedy will be John Stamos comedy Joe Cool which has been heavily retooled as "Paige & Joe" and will include elements of some of their Toronto's Friends comedies that never made it to series over the years back in NITRO. The comedy will be a vehicle for Denise Richards and their other ICE Starlet Allison Scagliotti.
Paige & Joe will be a really unique comedy of an original concept about three sets of brothers & sisters with the main combo being Paige (Denise Richards) and Joe (John Stamos) who represent the senior combo in their 40s and their story is that Joe Cool retires from his music career and settles in back home but his little sister Paige has a major problem on her hand as she becomes an accomplice in her girlfriend's murder of her husband and flees past the border in Canada where Joe lives so now Joe is in a mess as he tries to give Paige and her friend a place to live in his new house. Paige and Joe constantly look over each others shoulders hoping that authorities who are searching for them don't find them. The other combo is in their 30s and their the most unique b/c they have an incest relationship with each other which is just odd. The last combo is the youngest in their 20s whose story is that they are both criminals as the sister is a computer hacker and the younger brother is a thief. All of the sets of brothers & sisters will cross each other paths and become great friends with each other living a life of on the run from authorities.
Paige & Joe will be ready for Monday on March 5th at 8:30pm/ET. taping live from Phoenix.
The other announced comedy is Unpaid Bills which was picked up to reflect the bad economy in the world right now. Unpaid Bills will follow three roommates who all work as Hooters waitresses and struggle to make rent every month. It was actually intended for this show to be the vehicle for Denise Richards but she was not a good fit with the younger girls. Right now a cast has not been announced but ICE is hoping to start the casting process right away and get the show ready for a premiere next week.
