The ICE Phederation
ICE Phederation CEO/President Pat Devine makes a few announcements and updates the weekly status of his network right now.
ICE will be unleashing its slate of live telenovela soaps this week with The Swimming Diaries on Mondays and Vancouver Models debuting this Sunday and airing twice on Wednesday and Thursday with episodes that are taped live.
ICE has just announced that it will be adding a third block of comedies coming this March on Saturdays as this will be used as a strategy to aggressively dominate Saturdays for the rest of the season and give some of their comedies a chance to stay clear of tough competition during the week. The other days of the week have yet to be determined but Mondays and Thursdays are being looked at as potential destinations.
ICE's continued relationship with Paramount will continue as ICE will be helping Paramount celebrate its 100th anniversary this year in a series of specials airing throughout the remainder of the calendar year. The first set of Paramount specials will air on the 25th of February when ICE showcases memorable Paramount moments during the world broadcast premieres of Black Swan and The Runaways. Many Paramount classics such as The Godfather, Rain Man, Little Darlings, Friday the 13th, Transformers, Titanic, Indiana Jones, Forrest Gump, Iron Man, Star Trek, Beverly Hills Cop, Flashdance, and so many others will be at the disposal of ICE's library. Most of these movies will likely not air on ICE but it gives ICE the chance at anytime to air these movies whenever necessary. This is apart of a 10-year agreement for ICE to be a proud partner of the movie and television studio.
Paramount Pictures will be officially celebrating their 100th anniversary with ICE on the 6th of May with a special 3-hour telecast.
ICE has just sealed up the rights to five 2010 theatricals Black Swan (FOX), The Runaways (SONY), The Book of Eli (WB), The Karate Kid (SONY), and Salt (SONY). ICE will likely grab more movies especially the Paramount releases like True Grit and The Fighter at a later date.
