I'm surprised NBC didn't make a move today with WTTF and the block after this morning's ratings plummet. They should've stuck The Biggest Loser in there at 8pm and puts Parks & Rec with Community on Fridays with Grimm and Dracula.
Good news for Dads on FOX it looks like the network will keep it longer than most would've predicted as it got 6 additional script orders.

wTTF should be pulled in the next few days, and SSTW maybe a week or two afterwards. A Friday night with P&R, Community, Grimm and Dracula would make my life as well:D
With Dads, i believe they are ordering more scripts because Us & Them has been cut to a six episode order from 13. The best news to come from this though is that Brooklyn 9-9 should get a full season order.

Lots of moves today by the network as NBC finally pulls WTTF and replaces it with Community in early January but Community will air at 8pm and P&R moves back to 8:30pm.
Brooklyn-99 gets full-season order and post-Super Bowl slot for FOX. Dads probably gets the full-season order if the numbers hold on Tuesday.
CBS gives full orders to Mom, Crazy Ones, and Millers.

Ironside is also being killed next week. Glad to see Community back but surprised it was not brought in for November sweeps.
Brooklyn 9-9 getting a pickup as with The Crazy Ones are fantastic, as i think they have been the top two new sitcoms this season.

Also SSTW got an order for 4 more scripts, so a potential extension like Guys With Kids last season could be on the cards to fill up schedule holes.

Yeah I expect SSTW along with Michael J. Fox to both finish out their full seasons.
Underrated Dads got a full season order late last week.
How I Met Your Mother as I predicted with my pilot for ICE Bastard Kids is doing a spin-off for CBS next year.

NBC pulls Ironside from the schedule and Chicago PD launches in January in Ironside's Time-Slot.

I think in this case a spin-off is necessary for HIMYM because they had set the show up for so long to be a spin-off since we always knew Ted's kids would probably get their own show.
Can't wait to see Chicago PD as I really like Chicago Fire. Blacklist is pretty good also for NBC.

I believe if ive read correctly, the new HIMYM spinoff will be about another group of friends unrelated to Ted and the Group and one lady who finds her true love. The only links is the bar. The new spinoff will have nothing to do with the kids.
Blacklist doing very well, and Chicago PD could be a solid show, ratings wise.

Yeah you're right about HIMYM, I don't think they should be going in that direction because that's basically a new show and its risky but we'll see how it turns out.
NBC is doing very well in the drama department except they sprung a leak with Dracula but for the most part if Chicago PD can hit for them they can close out this season on an solid upswing gaing momentum. They are a long ways away from rebuilding their comedy situation.

Dracula and Grimm fell hard last night, due to a terrible 8pm lead in. I dont mind Dracula, but it could be better. NBC is a difficult one with Comedy, as their comedies are often critically loved (Community, Parks & Rec) but pull terrible numbers. I have no idea how they can rebuild that section of the network but they need to look at FOX, who is getting some success with Brooklyn Nine Nine to see how to promote an NBC show (Andy Samberg and Writers all came from NBC Shows)

They should've just ran with Dateline there but at least Grimm gained after it. I don't think Dracula is going to last that long even if the 8pm hour was stronger. NBC is probably already thinking about what can go there at 10pm after the New Year.
FOX has turned it around a little bit with their comedies as got some building blocks to build around Brooklyn-99 and Dads.
I think NBC is dealing with a reach for viewers issue with their comedies. I think it was proven these past couple of years with big names. I think the problem is they still haven't recovered from all of the people that left the network after their Must See TV days ended with Friends, Frasier, and Will & Grace. The critically-acclaimed comedies aren't working and the low-brow broad comedies didn't either. I have no idea what they can do but the best bet is to give them large lead-ins and give them a little bit of exposure. I'm interested to see how Sean Saves the World and Michael J. Fox do after The Voice this week.

Dracula if it stays where it is in ratings, will be renewed. It does very good on fridays at 10 in comparision, as well as being a limited series (10 eps for S1) plus it is a co-international show which means NBC pays less for production that any of its other dramas, except for Hannibal. It will be renewed for the same reasons as Hannibal, unless it drops to a 0.6 or lower in the 18-49.

That is an interesting situation because that is the main reason Hannibal got renewed. Most of these shows with international tie-ins and owned by the home studio are likely to not have to rely too much on ratings.
